Biographical Sketch
John Dumot, DO, is Section Head of Community Gastroenterology, and a Staff physician in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Cleveland Clinic's Independence campus. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and is a diplomat of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.
Dr. Dumot graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Ohio University, Athens. He completed a rotating internship at Doctors Hospital in Columbus and an internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic, where he was chief medical resident in 1994-95. Dr. Dumot completed gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy fellowships at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Dumot reviews articles submitted for publication to the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Diseases of the Colon & Rectum. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
