Biographical Sketch
Michael Strongosky, MMSc., is a project staff physicist in the Department of Radiation Oncology. He was appointed in 2008. Mr. Strongosky is board-certified in therapeutic radiologic physics by the American Board of Radiology. He is a Certified Radiation Expert (CRE) in the State of Ohio in therapeutic radiological physics.
Mr. Strongosky received his bachelor's degree in radiation science from The Ohio State University. His graduate training includes a Masters of Medical Science degree in radiation oncology physics from Emory University School of Medicine.
Mr. Strongosky’s areas of interest include a wide variety of physics applications for radiation oncology, including external beam using IMRT & IGRT, brachytherapy and shielding design. He is located primarily at Hillcrest Hospital where he is the senior physicist in the Radiation Oncology Department.
