Biography

About Jia Lin, MD, PhD

Jia Wang Lin, MD, PhD, is a Staff Member of the Department of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Anesthesia. Her specialty interests include anesthesia for complicated cardiovascular and anesthesia for patients with difficult airways.

Dr. Lin earned her medical degree from Beijing Medical University Faculty of Medicine in Beijing, China. She earned her doctoral degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She completed an internship at Beijing Medical University, a residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Oh.

She is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the National Board of Echocardiography for Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography.

She is a member of the American Society for Anesthesiologists, the Society for Neuroscience, the International Anesthesia Research Society, Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists and the Society for Airway Management.

Dr. Lin has published a number of peer-reviewed articles on various aspects of anesthesiology, neurosurgical anesthesia and pharmacology.
