Biographical Sketch

Michael Rollins, MD, is Staff Cardiologist in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, currently practicing at the Independence Family Health Center, part of the Cleveland Clinic Regional Medical Practice. He is certified as Diplomate in both internal medicine and cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Rollins specializes in clinical cardiology, noninvasive testing, lipid disorders, echocardiography, stress testing and stress echocardiography.

Following undergraduate studies (BA, biology) at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Rollins received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic, which then awarded him a fellowship in cardiology.

Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic as a Staff Cardiologist in 1997, Dr. Rollins was in private practice at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland, where he was Head of the Section of Non-Invasive Cardiology. While at St. Vincent Charity Hospital, Dr. Rollins was named Teacher for the Year for four consecutive years. Once at the Cleveland Clinic, he received the Distinguished Teacher Award.

Dr. Rollins is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, American College of Physicians and the American Heart Association.
