Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

The experience with Dr Lupe was wonderful but it took 4 months to get from Dr Achkar referral in November. Not good.

The provider was on a treadmill while he was speaking to me. This is highly irregular and completely unprofessional
Reviewed on Mar 14, 2024
As I stated earlier, the session from the treadmill really took me for a loop. This is so unprofessional and rude.As I stated earlier, the provider was on the treadmill. He was not paying much attention to me and cared more about his exercise.
Reviewed on Mar 13, 2024
My only complaint would be the timing of the scheduling but I also understand the high demand for appointments and not enough staff available. Dr Lupe is only 1 person helping a tidal wave of people.

I have seen many mental health and medical professionals and by far, Dr Lupe has surpassed those I've seen before as he is one of the few that recognize the mind/gut connection and helped diagnose the exact problem with my digestive system. I am grateful for his help.

My visits always are in call or in person. Dr. Lupe is the best doctor ever for his experience and care . When I put the degree fair . It is for the patients care staff in general who do not respond to what patients need .
