Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

We absolutely love Dr. Mudd

Dr. Mudd allowed me to explain my child's illness from beginning to present, addressed all of my concerns, and took the time to give me a diagnosis and treatment. He seemed to genuinely care about my questions and my son which made for a great experience.

This video visit was just as good as going to the PCP in my opinion. Dr. Mudd spent just as much time with me as I believe a provider would in the office.

Dr. Mudd is very thorough. He is very kind and concerned about his patients' care and makes us feel that way. There is never a feeling of being rushed. He is also great at speaking to the child directly and also making sure he is on the child's level. Talking to them at the appropriate age group. Example: not talking to my 12 year old like a 2 year old

We love Dr Mudd so much and would never think about changing providers. My only complaint is that he always runs behind schedule-usually 30-45 min or so. I know that is because he is very thorough with each patient, but it is sometimes hard to schedule the rest of our day not knowing how behind he will be that day.

We see Dr. Mudd as our primary care physician for our son. As a first time mom, Dr Mudd has continually helped to put me at ease and always takes his time during our visits to ensure all our questions/concerns are addressed.

Dr. Mudd was incredible. He genuinely seemed to care about my daughter and her health. I cannot say how much I appreciate that he took the time to explore ALL root causes of her illness. He did not make us feel rushed and made sure we understood all possible avenues of treatment. I left feeling heard and confident that every measure would be taken to find the source of her illness and create an appropriate treatment plan. He was patient with my daughter and my son who I had to bring along to the appointment. Dr. Mudd was understanding and calm throughout the entire appointment. I would recommend him to any parent for their child.
