About Ajith Mathew, MD

Ajith K. Mathew, M.D., is currently an Associate Staff Neonatologist in the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, Department of Neonatology. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.  Dr Mathew completed his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Mathew participated in a three-year pediatric residency at Tod Children’s Hospital, part of the Western Reserve Care System in Youngstown, Ohio. He then completed a three-year neonatology fellowship with Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth Hospital, and Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Mathew’s specialty interests include respiratory failure in the neonate; management of the surgical neonate; and outcomes of very low birth weight infants.
