Moonrise Over Miller

The field of neonatal nursing is everchanging. This year's conference will highlight various methods used to enhance the quality of care of a unique population. The conference will look at the evolution of treatment strategies in the areas of respiratory care, feeding protocols and management and genitourinary complications. The conference will include discussion of innovative tools and techniques designed to improve neuromuscular development through proper positioning as well as focusing on improving achievement of development milestones through nursing assessment.

The practice of neonatal care does not cease with the patient but continues through communication with families. The second portion of the day's topics will include discussions on the importance of effective communication that creates meaningful relationships while remaining professional. The day will conclude with discussion on today's healthcare and how the passage of the Affordable Care Act affects the execution of quality neonatal nursing care.
