The 2016 Digestive Disease Nursing Symposium “Navigating through Clinical Challenges”. The symposium will be a full day of clinical education addressing a variety of patient topics as it relates to the digestive disease caregiver. This year we are offering Breakout Skills Workshop that will feature:

  • Sharpening Debridement Skills
  • Learning to Use Your New GPS: Global Pouching Skills
  • Endoscopy…A view into the FUTURE!
  • OR Safety

The goal of the conference is to enhance the knowledge of caregivers about these topics so that they are better equipped to care for the digestive disease patient.

Sessions will address:

  • Applying therapeutic communication skills to difficult clinical situation
  • Assessing for critical clues in the management of serious patient complications (or Reduce hospital readmissions through distinguishing critical clues in serious patient complications)
  • Demonstrating confidence in selected skill development workshop
