Research

Welcome to the Section of Imaging Sciences in the Imaging Institute at Cleveland Clinic. The Section was founded on July 1, 2005 and is headed by Micheal Phillips, MD. The Section of Imaging Sciences is dedicated to facilitating and promoting collaborative image-based research in the Imaging Institute and throughout Cleveland Clinic.

Resources

The Imaging Institute is a large subspecialty radiology practice with extensive experience in investigator driven and collaborative research across Cleveland Clinic. Investigators have a broad range of interests in image-based research. State-of-the-art image acquisition equipment, data storage and analysis resources are available to support the full range of research projects.

Getting started

We encourage all first-time investigators to read the guidelines for conducting imaging research in the Imaging Institute. Questions or concerns regarding the project information form or the research process in general can be directed to Katie Murphy, the administrator for the Section of Imaging Sciences. Her contact information is noted below.

Support for Pilot Data

The Section of Imaging Sciences offers support for collection and analysis of pilot data. A limited number of imaging studies as well as support for image analysis can be performed at reduced or no charge to the investigator in or to obtain valid data for the purposes of pursuing funded research. To access resources for acquiring pilot data investigators need to fill out pilot data application form. The forms, guidelines for the selection process of pilot projects and additional information about the support available are listed on the pilot data web page. All investigators using the power data program will also need to fill out the project information form listed above.
