Bedside Delivery of your Discharge Prescriptions
Lutheran Hospital can fill your discharge prescriptions and deliver them to you or your family at the bedside. A member of the pharmacy staff will come to your bedside and collect the necessary information and work with your nursing staff to secure the needed prescriptions. The pharmacy accepts most insurance plans and can receive credit card payment at your bedside. As an alternative, your family can pick up your medications, if you direct us, at the pharmacy, where other forms of payment are accepted. The pharmacy is conveniently located on your way out to the parking lot on the Ground Floor.

Spiritual Care
Our staff of chaplains are caring listeners specifically trained to provide spiritual support and guidance to you and your family. They are part of the healthcare team so that your spiritual needs, as well as your medical needs, are addressed. Our chaplain staff can also assist patients and family members with advanced directives/Healthcare Power of Attorney paperwork, as well as any ethical issue that patients or their family members may encounter. Chaplains can be requested by the patient, a family member, your clergy, your doctor or a member of the hospital staff.

The Spiritual Care staff is available in the hospital from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Please call 216.363.2158 (ext. 62158 from a hospital phone) for more information. Sacraments are available upon request through the chaplain, and for patient emergencies by contacting the hospital operator at 216.696.4300.

Chapel
The Chapel of St. Luke the Physician is located on the first floor between the B and C elevators. The chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to provide a quiet place for prayer and meditation.

Banking
An ATM is located in the cafeteria on the Ground Floor.

Ombudsman
Phone: 216.363.2360 or ext 62360 from a hospital phone.

The Ombudsman is the liaison between Lutheran Hospital and the patient in resolving problems that may arise during the course of treatment. We recommend that patients first attempt to address their concerns with the department in which the problem occurred. If you do not reach a resolution with the person providing your care, we encourage you to contact the department manager or supervisor. If these attempts are unsatisfactory, call our Ombudsman Office from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, or you can leave a message anytime. Making a complaint does not in itself compromise a patient’s future access to care.
