Appendicitis

Appendicitis is a relatively common disease that is approached with laparoscopy. Especially in the female this approach allows the surgeon to not only remove the appendix with minimal scarring. It also allows examining the female genital tract and ruling out other disease processes that might mimic appendicitis.

Operative Time: Approximately 30 minutes
Possible Complications: Wound Infection, Bleeding
