The MetroHealth Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic work together in training some of the best emergency medicine residents in the country.
The residency program in emergency medicine is a three-year program in which the residents spend time working in two sometimes very different settings which complement each other perfectly, offering residents the best training available anywhere.
MetroHealth Medical Center provides a wealth of trauma experience and Cleveland Clinic offers a great variety of tertiary care patients.
The program also takes advantage of the twenty bed Clinical Decision Unit at the Cleveland Clinic in teaching the residents about caring for patients in an observation unit.
