We are excited to introduce our newest features and functionality options that we hope will continue to empower you – our MyChart user – to be actively involved in every aspect of your healthcare.
Immunization
Immunization is a way to protect people from getting a number of illnesses. Many of these illnesses can spread easily and cause health problems. Staying up-to-date on your immunizations will help protect you from getting sick.Without them, you have a higher risk of developing serious illnesses.
Ask your provider at your next appointment about your immunization status.
Preventive Care
Preventive Care plays an important role in your health and overall well being. Procedures are recommended for you based on your age, sex, and in some cases your medical history.
You may request a preventive care procedure if the procedure is listed as due soon or overdue. A preventive care procedure is typically identified as due soon when it is due within a month.
Health Trends
MyChart users can now view their vital signs by selecting the Health Trends feature located under “My Medical Record.” Health Trends displays your recorded vital signs taken during your last 15 office visits. You can view pulse, blood pressure, weight, and respirations. You are also given the option of viewing them by graph or by date with a simple push of the button.
Trend Lab Results
MyChart users can now chart and graph any of their numerical test results by selecting the Test Results feature located under “My Medical Record.” After a test result is selected, click on “View Historical Results.” You will then have the option of displaying your results by chart, chart by date or line and bar graph.
Health Resources Link
Access to health information from the Cleveland Clinic is now at MyChart users fingertips. The following links are located under the “My Health Resources:”
- Healthy Living – Various articles on diet and nutrition, recipes, heart health, community involvement
- Health Talks – View and register for upcoming free community Health Talk seminars
- Webcasts and Podcasts – Download the latest podcast or videocast on various health information
- Interactive Tools – Health quizzes, risk assessments, health modules, calculators
Google Health
Google Health is an online health information management service that is available, free of charge, through Google, the largest Internet search company in the world. Like MyChart, Google Health securely stores your personal health-related information and is accessible through any computer with an Internet connection. Unlike MyChart, Google Health allows you to add information about yourself. Because MyChart and Google Health are compatible services, MyChart users can choose to:
- Create their own, personal Google Health account (much like your MyChart account, including a secure log-in name and password that can only be accessed by you).
- Select information from your MyChart account and copy it into your secure Google Health account. You can even choose to have your MyChart and Google Health accounts updated automatically so that any information entered into one will be immediately copied into the other.
- Enter information into your Google Health account about health-related activities or services you do not receive from Cleveland Clinic (such as from your family dentist or any other physician you choose to visit).
- Test a number of Google Health’s features and options to determine how easy they are to use, how useful they would be, and how Google might improve the service over time.
If you would like to begin using this new online health information management service, please click “Manage My Health” menu selection in MyChart and follow the instructions to access this new feature.
Questionnaires
Questionnaires are now accessible through MyChart and have been designed to enable our patients to fill out a series of questions to help your physician and entire care team understand how to manage an acute or chronic condition and/or understand your past medical history prior to your visit.
As a MyChart user, you will be alerted via your MyChart account that you have a questionnaire available to view and fill out. Once you complete the questionnaire, it is sent to your physician to view prior to your visit. As a patient, this allows you to fill out and answer questions from the comfort of your own home in a timeframe that is comfortable for you. Once you arrive at your appointment, your physician has had time to review and is ready to discuss your responses and answer all of your questions.
DrConnect Authorization
MyChart users can now authorize a non-Cleveland Clinic physician to access their medical information by using the DrConnect Authorization under “Manage My Health Info.” If you’ve been referred to the Cleveland Clinic by an outside physician, our DrConnect program enables your physician to register for secure, online access to your medical information (pertaining to your office encounter) so they may seamlessly continue to be part of your care team while you are treated at Cleveland Clinic. If you approve authorization of the electronic release of your medical records to your physician, they need to be registered through DrConnect. We will verify that they are registered or contact them to sign-up.
Caregiver Proxy Name List
Whether you have caregiver access over one family member or several, you can now view that entire list. This new addition is located under “My Family’s Record.” Simply select the family member’s name from the list to access their account.
MyAccount
Many patients are saving postage by paying medical bills online with a credit card or electronic check. Cleveland Clinic’s secure, online MyAccount service offers new features that make paying bills online even more convenient. Now you can choose electronic delivery of your billing statements and view statements from Cleveland Clinic and any of our regional hospitals with one log-in. The MyAccount system also allows you to pay multiple accounts at one time.
- With MyAccount, you can now store credit card and checking account information securely in MyWallet for future use. You also can set your account to make scheduled payments automatically. If you are a MyChart user, you can access MyAccount without using a second log-in.
- There's no extra charge to use MyAccount. To confirm your payment, just enter your email address and an electronic receipt will be sent to your email inbox.
- Sign up for online bill paying by visiting myaccount.clevelandclinic.org
