What could cause a person to vomit bile?
It is preceded by an excess of stomach acid that causes vomiting and ends with the addition of the bitter yellow compound that I think to be bile. I can find nothing at the library to help answer this question.
Response:
Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, or a "slow stomach" (gastroparesis) could cause a person to vomit up bile.
Your question, however, cannot be answered completely without a complete history of your problem, a thorough physical examination, and a laboratory evaluation.
