Cleveland Clinic Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Institute offers patients a full range of dermatologic, reconstructive and aesthetic services. Our physicians and staff are dedicated to continuously improving the quality of these medical and surgical services, to creating new standards of innovation, and to adding value to the patient care experience.
Dermatologists and/or plastic surgeons are located in 15 Cleveland Clinic facilities throughout Northeast Ohio: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, Avon, Beachwood, Chagrin Falls, Elyria, Independence, Lorain, Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center (Huron), Strongsville, Solon, Twinsburg, Westlake, Willoughby Hills, Wooster.
The Department of Dermatology provides expertise in the diagnosis and management of the full spectrum of dermatologic conditions. One of the fastest growing services, Mohs micrographic surgery, provides the highest cure rate for high-risk melanoma skin cancers, while sparing the maximum amount of normal skin. Cleveland Clinic dermatologists performed over 2,500 Mohs procedures in 2008, and now offer the surgery in Independence and Beachwood, in addition to the main campus. Access at more locations affords patients more timely treatment of skin cancer.
The Department of Plastic Surgery consists of 17 plastic surgeons, making it one of the largest plastic surgery departments in the country. Our specialists have significant experience and expertise in all areas of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, especially in the areas of facial cosmetic surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring, pediatric craniofacial surgery, upper extremity surgery, reconstructive microsurgery, and plastic surgery research. For the past several years, the department has focused on minimally-invasive techniques in facial cosmetic surgery. This includes alternatives to face and necklift surgery, short-scar facelifts, and minimally-invasive facelift techniques.
The Institute offers services in specialty areas including:
