The Section of Clinical Engineering and Information Services has 40 full-time employees and provides anesthesia services and support to all main campus Operating Rooms, all post-anesthesia care unit beds, all cardiovascular intensive care unit beds and surgical intensive care unit beds. In addition, operating room technical support is also provided at three Cleveland Clinic Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC)s and information systems support at nine affiliate sites employing Cleveland Clinic anesthesia services.
Services include anesthesia machine and patient monitor technical support, supply stocking and product evaluation. Additional support is provided for product development, research studies and special equipment applications.
The Information Systems Group provides daily support for over 600 PC users. Solutions to information problems are tackled using software development and hardware specification methods.
