Overview
The teaching program centers on the management of urologic malignancies. Rotations are based upon approaches to surgical treatment and include open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. The training is based on the premise that a urologic oncologic surgeon should be skilled in all three areas. Our fellowship provides a broad experience in adrenal, renal, bladder, retroperitoneal, and prostate surgery. Fellows also get extensive experience in pelvic surgery doing when we do combined cancer cases with colorectal surgery and gynecologic oncology.

- International Medical Graduates – ECFMG Certificate, FMGEMS
- USMLE – Step 3 is also required for an H1-B visa

Goals & Objectives
- Learn the appropriate clinical and laboratory evaluation of patients with urologic malignancies.
- Become proficient with open and laparoscopic techniques for managing patients with urologic malignancies
- Learn to critically review and participate in clinical research of urologic oncology
- Become involved and foster multidisciplinary clinical care of patients with urologic malignancies

On-call and Consult Responsibilities
On-call responsibilities are approximately 1 week a month. The call is not in-house. The different staff members cover their own patients during the weekdays. The fellow covers consultations during the on-call days.
Research Commitment
Research is integrated with clinical work during the fellowship training. A reasonable schedule that allows a balance between clinical work, study, self-development, and research is emphasized. The fellow is expected to have at least one major project to complete and expected to present his/her work at a recognized urologic oncology forum.
Rotations
No off campus rotations are planned.
Evaluations
Evaluation of fellow at least twice per year.
Evaluation of staff and program at least once per year.
