Biography

About George Ainge, MD

George Ainge, MD, joined the Staff of the Radiology Department of Cleveland Clinic in 2007. His prior medical experience was with radiology practices in Hilo, Hawaii, and Knoxville, Tenn. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiology, vascular and interventional radiology, and neuroradiology. His specialty interests include ultrasonography in malignancies and tomographic scanning in abdominal and thoracic malignancies.

Dr. Ainge attended the University of Washington in Seattle, graduating cum laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at the Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. He then received a fellowship in interventional radiology and imaging at the University of California at San Diego.

Dr. Ainge has been an invited speaker at scientific conferences and symposia. His articles have been published in several medical journals and he has contributed chapters to three medical textbooks. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Society, American Society of Neuroradiology and the Radiological Society of North America.
