My problem dealt with pain when swallowing food and even more so with liquid. The doctor never looked in my throat. She sent me for an acid reflux upper g I. The test showed I did not have acid reflux which is a good thing. I just wish she had looked. She may have been able to see that it was just irritated by something. I am still not sure what the something was. I made two dietary changes recently. Tried drinking warm lemon juice tea and started eating yogurt with gluten free cereal. One of those was likely the cause of my problem since it was not acid reflux. However maybe my symptoms were text book acid reflux.

AS REPEATED MANY/MANY TIMES - DR. PURISIMA IS CARING, KNOWLEDGEABLE & A GREAT DIAGNOSTICIAN. EVEN WITHOUT TESTS, SHE IS ABLE TO SUGGEST THE CONDITION WITH A VIRTUAL VISIT! HOW LUCKY WAS I TO GET HER WHEN DR, KLARFELD RETIRED? NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE ABLE TO MATCH HIM -- BUT SHE CERTAINLY DOES!

I had 4 minor issues. After saying what they were when asked ~?"Why are you here today?"I was asked repeatedly, "ok, what else?"When I asked about the senior Covid shot, if she thought it was needed & safe, I honestly think she practically did an eye roll' as If she was tired of hearing people's concerns about it. Didn't really seem concerned about MY concern. I Felt I was just another number after having been with this doctor for over 20 years! She actually asked if I wore glasses? If she would have looked at me, once, she wouldn't have had to ask. They were on my face! Not personable at all. Maybe overworked, I don't know. I'm actually in the process of finding a new primary doctor. Sad, but true!

Dr Purisima was awesome. Came to see her to get set up as a new patient and for my physical. She thoroughly answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. :-)

The doctor did not take my concerns or questions seriously. She dismissed my concerns over my cardiovascular history by saying I was young and did not check my medical history of genetic heart disease. She went through the barest of checkup procedures and decided that my anxiety concerns were unfounded and assumed I had drug seeking behavior. I did not ask for any medication, only to discuss the issue and see what would could do with the problem at hand.
