About Khaled Fareed, MD

Khaled Fareed, MD, is a Staff Member in the Department of Urology at the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute and Staff in the Center for Robotics and Imaged Guided Surgery. His specialty interests include robotic nerve sparing prostatectomy, laparoscopic partial and radical nephrectomy, BPH minimally invasive procedures including Green Light laser and kidney stone surgeries.

Dr. Fareed earned his medical degree from Assiut University School of Medicine in Egypt. He completed an internship and residency in urology and general surgery at University of Texas Southwestern Medical center at Dallas, Texas. Dr. Fareed is licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio.

He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Urological Association, Endourological Society, European Association of Urology, American Medical Association and the American Association of Clinical Urologists, among others.

He has published a number of articles and abstracts on topics such as MRI characteristics and laparoscopic radiofrequency of renal lesions, laparoscopic urological surgery, and overactive bladder in men, among many others. He has also lectured on bladder cancer and prostate cancer detection.

Very impressed by the time the doctor took to read over medical test papers that we brought from Tennessee. Dr. was exceptional as to explaining what he would do. Then called and said after he conferred with other doctors, his new plan of what to do. Very glad for the team approach also.
