Biography

About Tracy Hull, MD

Tracy Hull, MD, has been Staff Surgeon in the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic since 1993. She is the Section Chief of Inflammatory BowelDisease within the Department and also holds the Thomas and Sandra SullivanFamily Endowed Chair in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She received her Doctorate of Medicine, cum laude, from The Ohio State University in 1986. She did her surgical residency at SUNY Syracuse, New York from 1986-1991. Her fellowship was done at Cleveland Clinic from 1991-1992. 

Dr. Hull is active in numerous professional societiesincluding Alpha Omega Alpha, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons,the American College of Surgeon and many others. She currently serves as thesecretary for the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.  She alsois the chair of the Written Examination committee for the American Board of Colonand Rectal Surgery. 

She has authored numerous peer reviewed articles, and manybook chapters, and been the editor of two text books on colon and rectalsurgery. Additionally, she speaks at the major meetings around the world. Dr.Hull’s takes care of patients with all forms of colorectal disease, but has aspecial interest in Redo pelvic surgery including redo pelvic pouches. She also specializes in surgically treating patients with ulcerative colitis,Crohn’s disease, pelvic floor dysfunction, among other colorectal diseases.

Dr. Hull is truly amazing! I would not have been here today if it was not for her! She treated the patient as if they were the only person that she is caring for. I feel so blessed and grateful to have her as my physician. The Cleveland Clinic is very lucky do you have a position with the extraordinary expertise and talent that Dr. Hull has. The office of Dr. Tracy Hull is incredible. I know that when I come to Cleveland for an appointment she is able to make things happen in an orderly fashion. I have not had any issues contacting or getting returned calls. I know when I have an appointment with Dr. Hall and Crinuta Floruta I will be taken care of and I will be included in any and all decision making. They are amazing.

Dr Hull was wonderful! I really liked her and all her staff, I was treated so well and she is going to help me after months of searching for a Dr. She made me feel so much better and I am no longer afraid of the surgery as much as I was before I met her and the other Dr, Katy Propst-they were both very special people and they care about how you are feeling! Cleveland Clinic is VERY LUCKY to have these two Doctors on staff!

good. really liked Dr. Hull. she made me feel like she knew everything about my history qithout having her face in a computer the whole time. she made me feel like i was important and did not rush me with my appointment. she helped ease my fears, answer my questions and i have 100% confidence in her abilities to do this surgery. i will continue to see her and recommend her to anyone. best overall appt i have ever been to.

Dr. Hull is amazing! She is very thorough, explains everything and is extremely knowledgable. She expresses her knowledge in layman' terms, which is very important to me. Another extremely important quality to me is that Dr. Hull is very empathetic! The fact that she is an excellent doctor as well as being empathetic is a major plus for me! It makes dealing with a chronic disease bearable. I can go into my appointments and necessary surgeries with minimal stress because I have confidence in my surgeon. I am so grateful that I was able to become a patient of Dr. Hull's. I will and have recommended her to everyone I know that has colorectal issues.

Dr Hull was a breath of fresh air! She was truly very interested in listening to my concerns. I did not feel rushed in order for her to see her next patient. Dr Hull is very smart & did a great job explaining what condition I have. I was nervous not knowing what she would tell me, but she so comforting. I am lucky to have met such a wonderful physician! The Clinic should be proud to have Dr. Hull on their staff!

Dr. Hull is amazing! Shes so caring and puts my needs before anything! she's the best doctor I've ever had! she was with me every step of the way when I was hospitalized on and off for 6 months. I never had a doctor care so much about me. Dr.Hull deserves the world for all the hard work she does on a daily basis.
