Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 10/19/2020, Dr. Alemar has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. Getting a timely appointment with GIlberto Alemar, MD was difficult. I had to wait about 6 months to see him. Since I have chronic sinus issues, this was difficult, but, when I finally did see him, it was worth it. He is clearly an expert, charming besides, and seems to be headed in the right direction in terms of evaluation.

Dr. Alemar is clearly an expert in his field. I have a complicated sinus situation linked to hearing loss in my right ear, which is problematic, and he is taking steps to get to the bottom of it and try to resolve the issues. For the time being, he recommended a CT scan to get a better picture of what is happening.

Nurses on duty were not normally assigned to doctor and needed help to find supplies etc. Understandable and not an issue from a service standpoint. Doctor was patient and communicated with nurses what was needed. All were diligent and trying to provide best service.

Dr Alemar is a fantastic professional The diagnosis and the procedures he carried out ( April and August have considerably improved my quality of life. The only issues I have are related too the negative responses of his support team after my first procedure. I had pain/discomfort and considerable discharges. I was given advice by his team that this was normal for up to 2 months I asked to speak with Dr Alemar and instead received phone calls from his team. I received antibiotics from my local GP who diagnosed a secondary Infection Because of the discomfort I postponed the second procedure myself until I felt the first one had fully healedThis second procedure was painless ( as I now assume is normal) and Dr Alemar provided an excellent solution to my problem. He is a delightful man, as well!!!

My first visit with Dr Gilbert Alemar was very helpful. I was very impressed how professional and organized were the services. Very easy to make appointments. Dr Alemar was very professional and took plenty of time to answer my questions. I would recommend him.

Dr Alemar was able to accommodate a visit at CC Coral Springs - closer to my home. Within five minutes of arrival at CC, I was being courteously greeted and interviewed by the Dr's Assistant. Dr Alemar inquired as to the reason for my visit, asked about other related medical activity, and described the process he would use to arrive at a meaningful diagnosis. The local anesthesia and endoscopy that followed was administered professionally, with interactive explanation and minimum discomfort. Dr Alemar completed the visit by sharing preliminary findings, explaining subsequent tests ordered. All in all, one of my most productive and time efficient medical visit at Cleveland.
