despite not having my MRI handy, Dr Scarcella was kind and took time to talk to me and come up with a plan

Reviewed on Oct 11, 2019

Dr. Scarscella seemed rushed and dismissive when I asked questions. when I began to ask a question, he would interrupt me with a brief answer.

Reviewed on Sep 20, 2019

Although Dr. Scarcella seemed to be very knowledgeable, during the first few minutes of the consultation he told me that I really shouldn't be there. He said that my problem was one of the most over-diagnosed conditions. I then explained that my primary care doctor had treated this condition when it had occurred in my left leg, but he referred me to orthopedics for this occurrence in my right leg due to the size of the swelling. After Dr. Scarcella examined my leg, he did provide me with answers to my questions, as well as treatment options. After leaving the office, however, I felt that his comments about why I had been referred to him seemed unprofessional. My primary care doctor is a thorough conservative physician and would not have referred me without cause. I hope that for his sake, Dr. Scarcella was just having a bad day. I look for caring and concern in my doctors, however, and these qualities were not evident in him that day.

The Dr. is good, but in too much of a hurry, you feel rushed, with little talk about my condition, not very friendly, but I feel he knows a lot and is good as a Dr.

this physician was exceptional! he asked why I was given an apt so far from my home and kindly offered to call Beachwood to forward the findings of my exam in Brunswick to his colleague. he was concerned about having to travel to the southwest side of Cleveland for surgery and follow up apts. I so appreciate his thoughtfulness!

I was very impressed by Dr. Scarcella's knowledge and willingness to directly answer the "meat" of my questions. Some doctors seem to give short, canned responses unless you probe with more questions, bur Dr. Scar gives to-the-point information. I very much appreciate that.

Reviewed on Jan 31, 2019

I would recommend the staff generally, but I would not really recommend the medical doctor. Most abrupt, almost rude doctor I have ever met in the last 25 years of presenting for medical treatment. Took no time to explain anything, seemed uncaring in the past history, etc.

Reviewed on Jan 18, 2019

Dr. was extremely compassionate and genuine. Mom has advanced dementia/Alzheimer's and as he spoke, he was engaged with mom but talking to me about mom's health issue. I hope this makes sense. mom was totally comfortable and remarked at how nice and concerned the Dr. is. I totally agree. a very good experience for us both.

Reviewed on Jan 11, 2019

*Dr. Scarcella was not informative at all. He seemed very short and detached from explaining any options I had regarding the fact that there was no cartilage left under my knee cap. Very poor bed-side manner. I left with even more questions than I went with.
