Dr. Scarcella seemed a little flippant to me at first and I felt like I was wasting his time. His attitude softened a little after a while but I wasn't totally comfortable with him.

We left the Clinic feeling like we did the right thing making the appointment. Dr. Scarcella entered the room ready to hear why I was there. His eyes told me that he was drinking in my words. He looked at my x-ray and hand carefully. He then gave us his opinion. His words were not ones we heard in Dayton, OH. This doctor knew his craft well. After hearing his recommendations we drove back to Dayton impressed with everything we encountered at the Clinic.

Again this provider is no longer operating so I can't recommend him.he was thorough in his explanations about what I can and should expect. I really understood my condition after he showed me the film from m my X-rays and mri. The PA and the Dr. Made sure that those records got into my chart. The only complaint was while he was thorough I did feel rushed as tho there was somewhere else he needed to be

MyChart has made asking questions and getting help so easy. Dr. Scarcella's PA, Lexie is great and always gets right back to me.

Reviewed on Nov 10, 2021

He's a great doctor who tends to lack connection with patients. He does his job well and that's what I was there for. If anything could be done quicker, He could listen and stop cutting the patient off from everything they attempt to say.

Reviewed on Nov 9, 2021

This doctor seem more concerned about getting surgeries lined up to make money. It's quite apparent he hadn't Reviewed my chart as he suggested a over-the-counter drug that is counter Indicated to my condition of particularly my heart condition. I was so on impressed I will never trust this doctor to treat me. I did purchase the drug Voltaren and read the enclosed circular. I Then called my cardiologist whom strongly recommended I not use it.

Reviewed on Oct 29, 2021

Dr Scarcella was abrupt and generally seemed bothered that I was there. I have osteoarthritis and was looking for suggestions/ treatment to help with the discomfort, not surgery at this point. Possibly, in the future.

Excellent Doctor

Reviewed on Jul 28, 2021

Would encourage people to not see this doctor. He talked over me, appeared disinterested and cold. I would ask a question, such as timeline -abruptly stated "you don't ever have to do this, I'm telling you the only way to relieve pain is total knee replacement". When asked how I might prepare for surgery - "nothing". Can I exercise? Yes. I do silver sneakers and yoga. Are squats and warrior ok? "No squats". I was disgusted by the lack of recognizing my concerns and one word answers. I will not return to this doctor and would encourage others to not see him. Never felt so belittled by a physician.
