Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 10/22/2018, Dr. Chowdhry has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Dr. walked in room made no eye contact. very nonchalant about my problems. Had to insist he look at discs I had from doctors in Columbus. He was of no help. felt I wasted a trip. made no effort to get my reports from 3 other doctors that sent information. I called on 4/9/19 his office now have reports. these were sent before the appointment. He needs to learn how to treat patients. maybe fake his concern.

Dr. Chowdhry had an excellent rapport with me. His experience was comforting.

my doctor was extremely compassionate. I became emotional and he made sure to offer tissues and move in closer as to show he was offering support. He was unsure of how to proceed but definitely didn't leave me feeling like there's nothing we could do (which is what I was told by another doctor).

Dr. Chowdhry is a wonderful doctor. No only does he take time to ask questions and listen to your concerns, he promptly orders the necessary procedures while considering the distance/time traveled to get to Cleveland. I was able to be seen and have tests completed in Cleveland 2 months before I could have seen my Dr. at home. Thank you Dr. Chowdhry for your thoroughness and eagerness to help me find answers!

Nothing involved with a colonoscopy is a pleasant experience, but Dr. Chowdhry and his team made it as easy and comfortable as possible. I watched the nurses with other patients and they were this way with everyone.

Dr. Chowdhry did seem to have the proper diagnosis. However, he needs to work on his bedside manner. When he told me my diagnosis, he was cold and unsympathetic. I expect more from the Cleveland Clinic - it certainly was not the experience that Cleveland Clinic prides themselves on. He needs to show more compassion and empathy toward his patients. I felt like I was talking to a robot.

a very fast, timely, and professionally performed colonoscopy. Dr.Saleem Chowdhry was a very competent, pleasant physician providing me with excellent cars. The associated staff and nurses ver equally pleasant, and competent.
