Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 6/14/2020, Dr. Prescott Sullivan has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Dr Sullivan is familiar with a wide range of possible causes of illness, and helps us understand pros and cons of methods of diagnosis, treatments, side effects, and likelihood of success, either short or long term. She shows personal concern for how my life is affected, and brings an attitude of optimism and humor even in tough situations. She is always seeking to improve things rather than settling for my doing some better but not great; that has led to further diagnosis and help where other doctors had quit.

I really appreciate Dr.Sullivan sharing with me websites in which, as a caregiver, I could get a better price on my supplements. Part of the struggle with keeping up with my supplements in the past is the expense. I have never been instructed to look into these sites, and found myself with a much better priced cart of supplements I needed! Thank you so much!

Dr. Sullivan is a prime example of why your Functional Medicine program will lead the way of health in the future. I can't thank her and her colleges for looking for the root cause of my disease. Very affordable and doable life style changes are explained and supported. I'm learning to make correct choices to enhance my body/brain . I want to die young as late as possible. This program leads the way. Thank you.

Dr. Sullivan is very knowledgeable in a wide range of areas, compassionate, listens and interacts well, and is helpful with trying or suggesting solutions that are "outside the box" of traditional medicine in this country, with considerable success! We hope the clinic values her opinions, and supports her work (and that of all the functional medicine providers). I have gone from very significant disability to being able to do a lot since seeing them, and we are still in progress.
