Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 9/20/2018, Dr. Prescott has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. I cannot say enough how grateful I am to Dr Prescott. I came in because of progressively worsening sleep issues. I had seen three other doctors who all told me it was just stress and prescribed pharmaceuticals that made me feel really foggy all day. Not only did Dr Prescott make serious improvements to my sleep, along the way she has also diagnosed the root cause of my lifelong sinus problems so they are finally manageable!!

Dr. Prescott is very helpful and I like that she is open to "out of the box" treatments. Again, I wish follow up appointments were back to 45 minutes. It would allow more time for discussion and understanding of complex issues. I would put that concern on whoever made those decisions, not the doctor herself.

Wait time was fine, but I understand if the Dr. is spending important time with patients. In functional medicine, I value that my doctor spends quality, valuable time with me. It is upsetting that follow-up appointments have been cut from 45 to 30 minutes. Everything feels very rushed. I no longer feel like a valued patient, but another number. I strongly suggest reconsidering this move, or forwarding this information to whom it may concern.

not enough time for follow up appointments with the doctor. Often feel rushed out, which is extremely frustrating when I flew out of state and travelled all this way and don't have enough time to ask all my questions. Dr. Prescott is great and does the best she can, but I can tell she pressured to get through these appointments quickly. 30 minutes is not enough time for serious cases.

Ideally, we needed more time. I felt the dr. had more questions and I had more questions. However, Dr. Prescott was amazing. She looked at me as a whole, not just as one body part/system. She's thorough, thoughtful and is eager to take on the challenge of helping me become healthy. I feel hopeful for the first time in 15 months that she will follow through and work with me to resolve this issue and past issues. Dr. Prescott is impressive and I'm so grateful to have been assigned to her.

I am very pleased with my provider and I feel like she is very knowledgeable and I have confidence in her. I felt like she genuinely cared about my health and helping me. My only complaint was that we did not have enough time to have all of my questions answered. I left my appointment with many unanswered questions . 30 minutes simply wasn't enough time.

I rarely fill out surveys, especially the "Comments" section, but I feel compelled to expand on my experience with Dr. Prescott at the Cleveland Clinic. Not only was Dr. Prescott a crazy cool, blow-me-away smart clinician, she truly was empathetic and engaging in my medical issues. Cleveland Clinic, you have a true gem there!

Dr. Prescott did not take my condition seriously at all and almost seemed to make fun of it. She had not looked at my previous paperwork at all and was not prepared for the appointment. I left more confused than before I arrived and she did not give any practical advice on next steps. I felt like she was taking a shot in the dark to "see what sticks". I drive 8 hours round trip to CC and felt like my time was wasted. She never gave me any chance to ask questions and essentially got up and quickly left at the end of the appointment leaving me with tons of unanswered questions and concerns. She lacked any empathy for my condition whatsoever. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Dr Prescott seemed very flustered and rushed from being so late and late in the day. She did not seem fully acquainted with my medical history though I am an established patient at functional medicine. My first impression of Dr. Prescott is that she is very knowledgeable and competent. But I did not feel cared for and felt very rushed. I was very confused about the goals she had for me and how the recommendations she had for me were relevant or how they should be carried out
