Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Dr. Syed's care has made a huge difference in my quality of life. I am extremely grateful to him. He has taught me how to live pain free without any prescription medicine. I have not been this free of pain for nearly 40 years. I appreciate his excellent medical assistance, and I especially appreciate his "bedside manner.". He takes the time to listen and to ensure that all my questions were answered.

The national consult service did a good job of coordinating and communicating appointments, but it was difficult to get phone numbers for each department to be seen as they each had different records requirements. It took about 4 months to get an appointment, which was frustrating, but understandable with the coordination of multiple specialties. Dr. Syed was great and I really appreciate the ability to get the virtual visit during the covid pandemic.

Reviewed on Jun 15, 2020

Dr. Syed listened to all I had to say and I appreciate it. His communication back was clear and concise as well.

There was a problem connecting through Zoom. I called technical support for help. Then, Dr. Sayed called me by telephone, and asked if we could do the meeting another way instead. He asked if I used FaceTime , and when I said yes, he told me he would call me back in a few minutes using FaceTime . After that, the appointment went smoothly.

I really like the doctor. He really listened to me and knew what my health issues were, because he reviewed my chart before seeing me.

Reviewed on Feb 20, 2020

Dr syed never makes u feel rushed. He always takes the time to listen. But I feel that he don't really take my condition as serious because blood work not showing flags. I am a hard working person that is not asking for a work excuse or a cop out. I just want to work healthy and comfortably. I think the medical field relies to much on labs and not as much on symptoms.

Reviewed on Feb 20, 2020

I love Dr syed. Like I stated previously I just get the feeling that he is dismissed my condition because my labs are not throwing flags yet. Something happened that ruined my quality of life and I would love to get to the bottom of it.
