Dr Butsch clearly has a deep understanding of my condition. I had frustration with process but his care and transparency was appreciated. navigating the clinic is very difficult, he and his nurse Jaime have tried to make the journey easier. still too many hoops to go through.

My reason for this appt. was to discuss the sleep exam I had on May 17. *Dr. Butsch looked at the info on his computer and didn't tell me much that I hadn't been told at the sleep exam and I, basically, told him what I had told the people of the exam.

I really liked the doctor

Reviewed on May 8, 2019

The NP was excellent and was open and honest that she was still being trained in bariatric/obesity medicine and shadowed Dr. Butsch. Dr. Butsch was excellent. I have met many obestity specialists and bariatric surgeons. He has been by far the best. He respected me as a patient with my own personal complicated history and as a fellow medical professional as I am a family nurse practitioner. He also very much practiced shared decision making as he proposed one plan that I was reticent about. I was already taking topiramate for migraines which also helps with wt. loss. It was unclear how much it was working as I had lost approx 15lbs in 3-5mo though I knew I had plateaued w/in the last 2mo. He was going to suggest I just continue topiramate alone. He understood I had waited a long time for the appointment and added another medication.

Reviewed on May 8, 2019

My appt was at 11:15am and I left the dept approx 2:00pm. However, what was great was that I did not wait in the waiting room for very long as the nurse practitioner knew that doctor Butsch was running late and she obtained a very detailed history/updated my records as I had not been to the Clinic in nearly 20yrs. And it was very much worth the wait as Dr. Butsch did not cut my visit short even with the NP taking my history and still spent nearly an hour with me---they were both excellent.

Dr. Butsch is one of the most caring and understanding doctors I have seen. He is a gem. Yes you may wait a while to see him but that is because he will take the time he needs with each patient and the staff does prepare you if he is running behind. Well worth the wait.

Reviewed on Apr 16, 2019

Dr. Butsch is hands down one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He listened to every single one of my questions and spent time answering and explaining all of them.

I don't have phone numbers for many of the doctors I have seen, so I can't get in touch with a specific doctor to ask a question or to have information sent to another doctor or medical supplier (i.e. to get a wheelchair).
