Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 1/23/2018, Dr. Fine has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. Dr Fine is AMAZING!! Loved how he come in and introduced himself to me & our daughter. Our daughter is 11 almost 12. He spoke to her/gathered info from her. Asked if I had anything to add. He & his nurse were awesome listeners. He diagnosed the issue right away & we took care of the problem in the exam room that day. He is funny, engaging, friendly, caring & knowledgeable- he is awesome!!!

I went to Dr. Fine for a new problem, but remembered him from going to him, as an ENT specialist, more than a decade ago. I love him and feel he is interested and attentive and extremely capable and FIXED my blocked ear after audiology testing and Rx. Thank you for access. He's great!

Dr. Fine was wonderful. He explained everything in a way I could understand. He was gentle, he was respectful, he was caring. His medical assistant was also responsive, kind, and caring. I already referred my mom to Dr. Fine for her care.

Dr. Fine's medical assistant took us to the exam room only a few minutes after arriving. She then took my history. When she was done, it was only four or five minutes and Dr. Fine was there. He examined me and discussed my health issues. He was detail-oriented and explained things thoroughly. He had a wonderful, warm bedside manner. There were some orders he wanted me to hand carry, so he told me to wait a few minutes for his assistant to get them ready. A few minutes later, she was in the exam room with the orders and we were ready to go out the door. The whole experience -- from the welcoming receptionist to the personable medical assistant to the warm doctor -- it was wonderful. Your scale is 0 to 10, I wish I could give them all a 20!! I have already referred my mother to him for care -- and she has scheduled. Dr. Fine and his team are keepers. I will be going back again.

I ended up walking out when this provider appeared in the room with a dirty lab coat and treated me like a leper because of the bacteria that I am colonized with--This was a waste of time.
