About Kawtar Al khalloufi, MD

Kawtar Al Khalloufi, MD, is a transplant hepatologist with Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Transplant Center. Board-certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and transplant hepatology, she specializes in the medical management of patients before and after liver transplantation and caring for patients with a wide range of liver and biliary tract diseases. She serves as a member of the National Liver Review Board, which was established in 2019 to improve the process of assessing and determining liver transplant priority for candidates with exceptional medical conditions.

Dr. Al Khalloufi joined Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2017 after completing a fellowship in transplant hepatology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Her advanced training also includes a gastroenterology fellowship at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, and a hepatology fellowship at Florida Hospital in Orlando, serving as chief fellow during both fellowships.
