John M. Sassano, D.O., F.A.O.A.S.M. is a staff physician with Cleveland Clinic Falls Family Practice and is board certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Sassano is a native of Akron and attended Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Missouri for his undergraduate education. He attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine for his graduate studies and then returned home where he completed his internship and residency at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. Dr. Sassano became board certified in sports medicine in August 1995 and completed his fellowship in sports medicine in May 1998.
Dr. Sassano joined Falls Family Practice in 1998 after spending four years in private practice. Although he treats patients of all ages and conditions, Dr. Sassano takes a special interest in treating patients with sports injuries.

Dr. Sassano examined my shoulder and ordered an xray. He said if no bones were broken that I could return for a cortisone shot. He showed me 2 exercises I could do to keep my shoulder from getting stiffer.
