Biography

About Marzena Buzanowska, MD

Marzena Buzanowska, MD is a staff physician at the Center for Spine Health at the Cleveland Clinic and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Cleveland Clinic Learner College of Medicine. Dr Buzanowska is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with subspecialty training in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine, from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr Buzanowska's work has focused on improving the quality of spine care and workforce diversity and inclusion, actively leading a Women's Leadership committee in the Neurological Institute of Cleveland Clinic. She is involved with strategic initiatives in the Center for Spine Health, which target the identification of appropriate and timely care paradigms for patients with spine conditions.

She advocates for health policy on a local and national level on issues related to medical and interventional spine as well as through the work of the AMA Women Physicians Section. She teaches medical students and fellows, and has developed and subsequently nurtured the Spine Medicine rotation for the medical school. Dr Buzanowska has authored and co-authored multiple articles and book chapters on various spine related topics, including cervical radiculopathy, regenerative treatments, motor recovery in patients with muscle weakness after lumbar disc herniation, and interventional treatment options in osteoarthritis of the spine.

My impression was that Dr. Buzanowska knew her subject thoroughly. She was patient and clear in explaining my condition to me. She's also very good with eye contact.

I had to wait 2 months to get in to see her. then all she did was schedule more tests. I have been seeing her for two years and have not gotten a diagnosis yet nor has she given me any relief from my pain. I think it is time to find a new doctor. I am very disappointed.
