Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

I feel fortunate to have gotten Dr. Lee. He has a great "bedside manner."

Reviewed on Jun 28, 2019

Dr. Lee is an extraordinary physician and his patient interaction skills match his considerable medical ones.

Reviewed on May 24, 2019

Dr. Lee listens, explains, dispels erroneous assumptions, considers opinions, and comforts by doing so. That's everything I want in a physician.

Reviewed on Apr 26, 2019

really liked Dr. Lee . he explained things very well and did not use too much medical terminology. he was very nice and not condescending. he was very patient with my questions.

Reviewed on Apr 26, 2019

Impressed that Doctor Lee personally called a day prior to surgery to make sure I understood what the surgery was going to be.

Reviewed on Apr 12, 2019

My experience was great. I asked about some next steps if the less than desirable outcomes were experienced and the provider preferred not to go there. He was very optimistic and didn't want to discuss. For me, when I asked the question twice I wish I had gotten a more complete answer. I'm optimistic and want to be but I do want to understand realistic worst or next worst case so I am not ignorant. I have had conversations with Oncologist independent of my diagnosis and I understand why but when the patient really wants to know, he needs to be told, otherwise all he has is the Internet. The questions should be answered even at the risk of it backfiring on occasion.

a very thoughtful, intuitive, emphathetic and knowledgeable doctor.

Reviewed on Oct 26, 2018

both the doctor and nurse made me feel like a person throughout the procedure. Sometimes with Cleveland Clinic doctors I feel more like a number than a person. During this visit, however, I was treated with respect, and I was comfortable sharing my questions and concerns with the staff.

Reviewed on Oct 5, 2018

Dr Lee was very caring and compassionate with me. I was unaware that a CT Scan revealed kidney cancer and another mass. He was very kind.He promptly returned my call for information and assistance after I returned home.

Dr. Lee is always candid, straightforward, and considerate.
