• Dr. Issac completed a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Aurora, Colorado in 2015. During this 3 year training, Dr. Issac focused on reproductive health care, care for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, as well as treatment of eating disorders and associated mental health disorders. 

  In 2018 , Dr. Issac was invited to participate in the Leadership Training Academy for Physicians for Reproductive Health. This training focused on building communication and advocacy skills to help promote reproductive equality for all teens and young adults. 

Professional Highlights

• Dr. Issac has been on staff at the Cleveland Clinic since 2015, distinguishing herself as a skilled clinician and outstanding educator. Her teaching scores are consistently high, with residents and students benefiting greatly from her skills. She does monthly educational sessions for the residents, teaching them fundamentals of the adolescent exam, contraceptive options, and how to insert and remove long-acting reversible contraception.

  She has spearheaded the creation of standard operating procedures at Cleveland Clinic for LARC insertions in primary care, Depo-Provera injections, and oral contraceptives for adolescents and young adults. She serves on Cleveland Clinic's Pediatric Clinical Practice Committee, the Pediatric Clinical Documentation Working Group, and on the MyChart for Teens Task Force.

  Nationally, she is a leader in Adolescent Reproductive Health and has completed a prestigious training in Physicians for Reproductive Health Leadership. She has been asked to speak locally and nationally on reproductive health and most recently, telehealth within Adolescent Medicine. She has authored review articles on adolescent development, emergency contraception, and other topics.
