Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 12/13/2018, Dr. Chari has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Dr Chari May be my favorite DR hands down. I wish that he was a general practitioner at times so I can see him for everything. When I was in a near panic over necessary surgery he gave me a mobile number I could use to contact him after hours. I used it on more than one occasion. Dr Chari made one of the more terrifying periods of my life significantly more tolerable, he's the example of an exceptional DR.

Doc told me what he was going to do, said what might and what would happen, instructed home care and set up a followup appointed to make sure everything was healing as it should. He also wrote a script for an antibiotic. He was very pleasant and informative. No complaints

dr. chari. is the most caring doctor always taking time to talk not rushing me out the door. he Evan apologized for being a little behind on the day of surgery (surgery is an estimated time so really there was no need to be sorry) which I really appreciate it shows he cares

Dr. Chari worked out what was wrong with me and swiftly took action to make sure I was treated as soon as possible. He went on to perform surgery, keeping my family and I informed about everything. He kept looking after me in the hospital, making sure everything was being done to cure me.
