Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 6/18/2018, Dr. Starenchak has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Starenchak and his staff are always very courteous and friendly. I have just started transitioning my 3 children over to him, and my wife, because I believe he is does a very good job asking questions and listening. Also, he is very accessible for questions.

I went for a visit because my regular doctor couldn't see me immediately. DR Starnecheck was so good and seemed to care so much I switched to him as my regular doctor.

This was my first visit with Dr. Scott and my first visit to the Solon Clinic since I could not get an appointment with my previous Dr in Beachwood for my annual. While I did get lost and was further than I wanted to drive; I was very please with both the efficiency of the office and the thoroughness of Dr. Scott. He was very personable and took the time to ask a lot of questions to get to know me and understand my concerns. He also showed me my history and that I never received the one test I really wanted from my previous annual checkup with the Beachwood Dr. So he detailed every tests that he has ordered for me. I really appreciate him taking time to explain and really making sure that we discussed everything before I left. I am glad I found Dr. Scott.

provider asked if I had any medication allergies but didn't ask what allergic reactions I have. The After-Visit summary report shows he wrote that I get hives which I never said and isn't true.

I was treated by Dr. Lipton before and he was a great person so it would be hard to duplicate but Dr. Starenchak has and his nurse is great too.
