Robert J. Nickodem, Jr., MD has a staff physician appointment in the Orthopaedic and Rheumatologic Institute at the Cleveland Clinic since 2012.
Dr. Nickodem graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois. He is certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He serves on the Medical Executive Committee at Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital and the Local Advisory Board for Breckenridge Village.
He practices general orthopaedics with special interests in adult primary total hip and total knee replacement and knee arthroscopy. He sees patients at both the Cleveland Clinic Mentor Medical Office Building and the Cleveland Clinic Euclid Medical Office Building.

Dr. Nickodem displays empathy, concern and the ability to listen. I had an excellent experience and would highly recommend Dr. N. and his team. Also, his nurse, Dan, is top knotch. He was always very prompt in returning messages and also displayed caring for his patients.

By nature I hate going to any doctors,but having cleveland clinic as my health care provider painless and almost enjoyable,Dr. nickodem.and his team replaced my left hip about 1 year ago I have nothing but praise for them and all of cleveland clinic!

X-ray apt. was right on schedule and was completed with ease and technician was most pleasant and helpful. It was a pleasure to meet Dr. Nickodem. He was very thorough with the exam and was most easy to talk to about my knee pain.

This was a great experience. I was very nervous about the surgery but it went well and recovery was not so bad. I would highly recommend Dr. Nickodem to anyone needing a hip replacement.

This was my first time seeing this doctor. Everyone in the office took their time to explain things to me and answer all my questions. I never felt rushed and they did listen to my concerns.
