Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 12/12/2014, Dr. Kyei has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. She did not inform me of alternative treatment options, she gave one option, medication, and did not seem interested in discussing my questions or reviewing non-medication alternatives.

I was not provided options, told about what to expect, or asked if I had questions. She rushed to get out of the room. I did not feel that she had empathy for my situation, nor did she take time to make sure I was comfortable with the plan of care.

Physician was very knowledgeable about my son's conditions and offered a clear treatment plan and follow up appointment to check progress. She took time to figure out the best prescription meds that would also be covered by our insurance. I was very impressed with our first appointment with this provider.

This was the single most pleasurable experience with a Doctor in all my Cleveland clinic years of visits. This Doctor's knowledge, disposition, mannor, interaction with patient, etc. was the best I've ever had.

I love Dr. Kyei. She is both an excellent physician and a warm and caring human being. She has respect for (this) older patients and treats me like someone she is glad to see--and my appointment was for a routine skin check! I leave her presence feeling calm and cared for--better than she found me. Full marks! She's what every physician should be.

Dr. Kyei Perscribed a new medication to be used in combination with the one I have been using. I'm am very satisfied with this new medication. She was extremely helpful in finding a pharmacy for that medication that was affordable for me. I can't thank her enough for that. The prices on meds have gone up so much and vary from one pharmacy to another that it is very difficult for seniors on fixed incomes to afford some of them.
