About Mary Murphy, MD

Mary Murphy, M.D., practices general pediatrics at the Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center

Dr. Murphy is board-certified in pediatrics. She completed her undergraduate degree at Illinois Wesleyan University and her medical degree at Washington University Medical School. She participated in an internship and residency program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Murphy also carries certifications in both basic life support, as well as pediatric advanced life support.

Dr. Murphy is a member of several professional associations, including being a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics in which she also serves as Section Member in Adolescent Medicine, as well as a Section Member in Breastfeeding Medicine. She is also a member of the Ohio State Medical Association.

Dr. Murphy has special interests in breastfeeding as well as working with adolescent girls on problems like acne and dysmenorrhea. Other specialty interests include pediatric infectious disease, nutrition, development, sleep problems, headaches, ADHD, anxiety, asthma, anemia, pediatric dermatology, general pediatric care, and preventive care.

Waited over 30 minutes in exam room to see doctor.

*Dr. Murphy was not very thorough with her examination. At the end she walked out of the room and didn't say goodbye and we didn't even know she was finished or if she was coming back.
