About Mary Murphy, MD

Mary Murphy, M.D., practices general pediatrics at the Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center

Dr. Murphy is board-certified in pediatrics. She completed her undergraduate degree at Illinois Wesleyan University and her medical degree at Washington University Medical School. She participated in an internship and residency program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Murphy also carries certifications in both basic life support, as well as pediatric advanced life support.

Dr. Murphy is a member of several professional associations, including being a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics in which she also serves as Section Member in Adolescent Medicine, as well as a Section Member in Breastfeeding Medicine. She is also a member of the Ohio State Medical Association.

Dr. Murphy has special interests in breastfeeding as well as working with adolescent girls on problems like acne and dysmenorrhea. Other specialty interests include pediatric infectious disease, nutrition, development, sleep problems, headaches, ADHD, anxiety, asthma, anemia, pediatric dermatology, general pediatric care, and preventive care.

Long wait to schedule next appointment so we left. Called to schedule and "system was down." We really like Dr. Murphy. My 16-yr-old wanted a pediatric because no female adult drs taking new patients. Very impressed w/Dr. Murphy from visiting w/12-yr. old son.

Love everything about Mary Murphy and her staff. I've seen a lot of doctors in my time and for the kids for other things. She has helped me and my family out so much over the years with the kids and for us as parents. She truly is amazing.
