Industry Relationships

Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 4/1/2019, Dr. Roski has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Click here to view a listing of instances where Cleveland Clinic has identified a Public Health Service (PHS)-Reportable Financial Conflict of Interest and has put measures in place to ensure that, to the extent possible, the design, conduct and reporting of the research is free from bias.

I felt comforted and confident with Dr. Roski

Reviewed on Apr 2, 2019

I felt that the doctor did not listen to my medical conditions and I would rate it very poor the visit only lasted a minute and a half. I felt he was not interested in my medical condition and I felt rushed.

Reviewed on Apr 2, 2019

for me it was a terrible visit and the provider's did not provide an atmosphere which is conducive to positive communication.

the staff to the nurse to the doctor didn't seem interested in my medical condition and I was rushed to visit only lasted a minute and a half the worst.

I think you simply have to respect his 40 plus years of experience. If I didn't take that as the overwhelming critical factor then the dr would simply be hard to recommend. He's quick, abrupt, and doesn't come across as the most caring of drs. However for some people his skills and experience are far more important, for others a balance is important. He doesn't have that balance. He is not in any way rude. He's very professional. He's just dismissive and not into discussions.

I felt very fortunate to be able to see a dr with his experience. My interaction with him was brief but he said all he needed to in a very professional and calm manner.

Reviewed on Feb 13, 2019

The doctor did t go over my MRI results and review what the issue was with my back. He wanted to start with an injection and I had to talk him out of it and start with a steroid and PT. He showed very little sympathy for my situation.

Reviewed on Feb 12, 2019

I expected more communication from the provider because I needed more details concerning my problem. he was pleasant I expected him to discuss the follow up test he ordered as he left the room. He did not talk to me

Reviewed on Jan 16, 2019

Unhappy w physician and whole treatment. Feel like no one cared at all. Delay in PT ridiculous. PT was nice when finally got there. would not recommend.

Reviewed on Sep 19, 2018

the Dr didn't make it seem like he thought my issue was urgent and made no attempt to resolve my issue in office. I needed X-rays and instead of doing them in office he refers me elsewhere knowing I was in pain and getting to the next location was difficult. I have had in-house X-rays and never have I been referred outhouse because of my weight. this was his excuse for not taking xrays.

one of the best hospitals, staff, and doctors I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot.
