Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 12/31/2017, Dr. Lioudis has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. This physician takes time to listen to the patients and answer their questions. He is not the kind of person who keeps looking at his watch and has 2 more minutes that he can spend with you.

it's been over a week and I have not heard from Dr. Lioudis about test results and summary of visit and recommendations. I expected to get something through MyChart based on our conversation.

Dr. Lioudis appeared in the waiting room very shortly after I arrived and before I was seated. He recognized me as his new patient and next appointment, and ushered me out of the waiting room to an exam room almost immediately. I appreciate his recognition, friendly disarming smile and welcome.

Dr. Lioudis was very attentive. Answered all questions and explained all medications and options. I did have to wait 7 months for an appointment. Not at all happy about the wait. It was for a follow up visit but I think the amount of wait time is unacceptable.

Dr. made me aware of something no one else thought it could be another problem too.

Dr. Lioudis is the best doctor I have ever worked with, period. Although this was my initial visit with him, he was so prepared that it was like he knew me already. He was friendly, caring, clear, and thorough. He spent over an hour covering everything from top to bottom and answered all my questions without ever making me feel rushed. Instead of just posting to MyChart, he called me personally to review my test results. Dr. Lioudis is the gold standard for medical care and truly embodies the Cleveland Clinic motto of "Patients First".
