Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 8/26/2019, Dr. Komrovsky has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. the doctor was 2.5 hours late and spent five minutes with me. he did not apologize for the delay and was overall rude.

The doctor was not very friendly or caring

Reviewed on Jan 29, 2020

The provider barely spoke to me, conducted his assessment, then told me to follow him. I was very unclear as to whether the appointment was over so I had to ask and he finally responded told me to grab my things and instructed me to the exit without any goodbye or what to expect after having my eyes numbed and dilated.

omg. I love dr komrovsky. very competent and professional. I'm not sure who was happier my blood tests were normal, him or me, that makes me feel like a person, not just another patient. Being acknowledged in this way boosts my confidence that there is real interest in my medical issues. Will you please reach out to him and thank him for me?

Reviewed on Jan 29, 2020

The doctor was not very compassionate nor courteous, very rushed and almost seemed to be aggravated with any question I asked. no "bedside" manner. the whole visit I felt like a "bother" to him. I will not be coming back to him nor will I recommend him to any colleagues

Reviewed on Jan 24, 2020

very aloof, not friendly, had to point out a dark spot on my eyeball that MD apparently missed in his brevity. He reexamined and said it was a "small cyst", "too small to do anything about" (although I saw it myself in a magnifying mirror), explained nothing about it, what to look for, or any future plan. Next appointment in "a year". It won't be with him, though!

If there are other Opthalmologists in the practice, I would recommend them, but not if Dr Komrovsky is the only choice.

Reviewed on Jan 15, 2020

I always have a good appointment with Dr. Komorvsky he is very caring and listens to all my concerns.

Reviewed on Jan 14, 2020

doctor could have had a better bedside manner

Reviewed on Jan 2, 2020

When I told the doctor how my eyes were changing, he said "welcome to middle age". Though funny, I felt his response could have been more professional. The only examination the doctor did was look into my dilated eyes with lights. He did not do any of the vision tests that the assistant/nurse performed on me. He stated that the assistant/nurse had transcribed my prescription incorrectly and he knew that based on looking at my previous record.

I like Dr K. he was easy to talk to and I felt I received good care. nurse was very nice as well. front desk staff also was good to work with. your phone staff on the other hand, they don't care about anything.

Dr showed ABSOLUTELY NO PERSONALITY, BEDSIDE MANNER nor INTERPERSONAL SKILLS WHATSOEVER!!! I can't see how this man is on a CCF staff. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone whatsoever !

This specific evaluation was for my wife. he did not prescribe for her any glasses, in spite of her vision shortness. he was rude person. to be honest I must give him the credit of professional. he was professional. we needed another appointment with a different ophthalmologist, because we did understand nothing, why he did not take my wife's vision shortness seriously. in my humble opinion, this physician should not work for Cleveland clink Thanks

When finally seen by the doctor he seemed irritated. I was also frustrated with my wait but didn't make mention to him about it. he offered no comfort to my concern of sudden vision change. nor the twitching I explained was happening. It bothered me so much that I left in tears. I have never experienced so little help, concern, and clear disregard from a doctor.

Boris Komrovsky , MD is a remarkable physician. No others are fit to walk in his shadow. Many years ago, prior to his being with the Clinic he had a thriving private practice. He saved my eyesight. He is so considerate that I can state without reservation; if one had a serious issue one should mortgage one's house to procure the services of Boris Komrovsky, MD

I have tried to contact the Dr. for three days about a issue with the medication he prescribed and have not had any communications from him for three days.

Reviewed on Mar 28, 2019

Doctor did not introduce himself when entering room (first time meeting him), which threw me off. Was kind and gentle but didn't do much explaining of diagnosis or recommendations, no discussion of expected course. I would come back but will need to be more forthcoming in requesting further discussion from this doctor.

Not sure I would recommend physician yes/no (neutral) but already recommended clinic itself to husband over his current provider. Overall clinic experience was very good.

Reviewed on Mar 27, 2019

Doctor seemed uninterested in me as if he wanted to get to lunch or a break more.

Reviewed on Mar 27, 2019

Dr. Boris was wonderful. He got right to the issue and helped resolve things. Best ophthalmologist I have seen at the Clinic!

Reviewed on Mar 25, 2019

The doctor was quick and fair. I'm sure he is good at what he does which is what you want. However, he did not make you feel like he was open to questions or discussing issues. My husband had asked him about something he was concerned with about my eyes and the doctor told him that was not what we were here for. Probably a knowledgeable doctor not great bedside manners.

Reviewed on Mar 25, 2019

I was moved rooms because the doctor found it more convenient for his needs. He was complaining to nurse outside the hallway after she preformed initial exam and put numbing drops in my eyes. Apparently there was something more appealing in that room. The rooms by the way were exactly the same.

Reviewed on Mar 20, 2019

i have confidence in this provider's knowledge and expertise. he and his staff were polite and professional. You should consuder an optical shop but I understand why it wouldn't be feasible with so many convenient locations.
