Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 4/2/2018, Dr. Hayden has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Dr Hayden is an excellent doctor. He Exceeded my expectations

Everyone at Cleveland Clinic and especially Dr. Hayden was extremely nice. The doctor was so kind and took along time with me. I've been sick for a year and a half and got more out of my appointment with Dr. Hayden than I did with all my other doctors combined. I am very pleased with Dr. Hayden. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Dr Hayden is excellent. He spent ample time with me, listened well, asked appropriate questions Ave ordered a test that could help diagnose me. He also looked at my previous tests and scans and made intelligent comments. I am delighted with the visit.

Dr. Stephen Hayden was wonderful, he is simply limited by the diffuse and erratic nature and current limited understanding of my condition

Dr. Stephen Hayden (substituting for Dr. A Fowler, who was on vacation) called at the appointed time, which I appreciated. He was polite, while asking details of my symptoms. We briefly, but thoroughly, discussed my symptoms and details of the appropriate medication. This telemedicine experience exceeded my expectations.

Dr. Hayden was kind caring and interested in more than just my house which I greatly appreciated. Overall, the appointment went very smoothly. He was very funny. I would highly recommend him to any family and friends in such a funny personality. Awesome person.

As previously explained, the doctor was kind funny, courteous showed an interest in me, as well as my health issues. I found that to be new and flashing and a Welcome turn saying, as I had such a strong sense of dread and anxiety going into the process he made me feel it is we tossed around a few jokes, and I love this accent. He's a top-notch doctor. I would recommend him to family and friends. On a personal side he's an awesome human being.

Dr. Hayden was outstanding. He cared about my problem and showed empathy and respect. He gave me an educated menu of options for treatment but was able to prioritize recommendations. I felt very comfortable in Dr. Hayden's care. One of the best physicians I have ever interacted with.

Kuddos!!! Dr. Hayden was very nice, easy to talk with and took the time to listen and understand the issues/concerns of the patient. He exemplified quality physician care for the patient that too many other physicians are not, and will not provide today.

I had video visit with Dr. Haydan in February and thought he was very good. On this visit, he did not have his hearing aide in, and told me to shout. He also spent close to 3/4's of the visit updating my medications and doctors on the computer. This left us with only 15 minutes to talk about what was going on.
