Cleveland Clinic's publication, Urology & Kidney Disease News, provides information about the latest developments in urological disorders and treatment options at the Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute.
The Novick Center for Clinical and Translational Research
The Novick Center for Clinical and Translational Research supports the research efforts of all members of the Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute. Headed by Daniel Shoskes, MD, the center has 30 full-time employees, including a research manager, research nurses, study coordinators, database managers and IT support personnel.
The center manages a number of clinical trials and 15 disease-specific databases that serve as a source for clinical projects and outcomes reporting. Biostatistical support is provided through the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences, led by Michael Kattan, PhD, and center personnel frequently collaborate with scientists in Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner Research Institute.
Center for Male Fertility
The Center for Male Fertility at Cleveland Clinic has many contributions in the fields of research and innovation:
- Invention of a simpler, cost effective method for vasovasostomy that has similar rates of postoperative patency and success compared to the standard approach.
