Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic lead national vaccination campaign
COVID-19 vaccines are our chance – to save lives, to protect family, friends and ourselves, and to get back to doing the things we love.
Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic are leading a nationwide campaign, Get the Vaccine to Save Lives, to encourage adults to get vaccinated against COVID-19. In total, 60 top hospitals and healthcare institutions have joined in support of the campaign.
As of April 19, all U.S. adults are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Half of adults in the U.S. are at least partially vaccinated.
We have a ways to go to overcoming this pandemic. Hospitalizations are rising again. At Cleveland Clinic, we have nearly 300 patients hospitalized across our system. There is also sizeable vaccine hesitancy among Americans.
Healthcare leaders want to do all we can to assure the public that COVID-19 vaccines are safe, effective and necessary for ending the pandemic. The Get the Vaccine to Save Lives campaign includes print and digital advertising, media outreach, social media, an awareness video and an informational website.
