Level orange visitation starts in Ohio and Florida May 27

We appreciate your attention to our visitation guidelines and their impact on patients and their loved ones during the pandemic.

After monitoring COVID-19 positivity rates among our patients, caregivers and communities, in addition to statewide updates and guidance, we are reducing visitation restrictions.

Starting Thursday, May 27, Cleveland Clinic locations in Ohio and Florida will implement level orange visitation guidelines at all facilities.

This means visitation changes will occur for patients who are COVID-19 negative in the following areas:

  • Labor and Delivery: Patients will be allowed two designated visitors.
  • Outpatient Appointments and Procedures (including major procedures, without a hospital stay) for adults: Patients will be allowed one designated visitor.

Note: For hospitalized adult patients who are COVID-19 negative, only one designated visitor will still be allowed.

For patients who have tested positive for COVID-19: no changes. Remember compassionate exceptions should be considered for all patients. Please see page two of this flyer for more details.

Please remove all level red visitation signage and flyers from your facilities starting May 27.

Reminders

  • The color-coded level visitation guidelines apply state-wide and are not divided by county or facility.
  • Visitors are still required to wear masks upon entering any Cleveland Clinic facility in Ohio and Florida.

Thank you for your support of these updates as we continue to keep our patients, caregivers and visitors safe.
