What happens during a craniosacral therapy session?
A craniosacral therapy session is similar to a massage therapy session, except the patient remains fully clothed. Craniosacral treatment can be used in conjunction with massage.
The CST session begins with a consultation with the specially trained therapist. Soft music and low lighting will help you relax and enjoy the session even more.
The therapist uses light pressure (gentle touching) techniques to learn if the patient has any interruption in the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, or any restrictions in the fascial system. Fascia is a layer of tissue that surrounds every structure in your body. Restrictions in the fascia can mean that there are problems within the central nervous system.
