Is craniosacral therapy right for everyone?
There are certain situations in which CST would not be appropriate. For instance, treatment would need to wait if you have had any of the following and your doctor has NOT cleared you for treatment:
- A recent concussion
- Cerebral (in the brain) swelling
- Structural defects in the cerebellum, such as Arnold-Chiari malformation
- Brain aneurysm
- Traumatic brain syndrome
- Blood clots
If you have a disorder that causes any problems with your cerebrospinal fluid, extra precautions would need to be taken. Talk with your CST practitioner and doctor before undergoing a CST session.
Is craniosacral therapy covered by insurance?
No, CST is not covered by insurance. You will need to pay for the treatment yourself.
